Rūta Ashcroft is a contemporary painter based in Sunningdale, Berkshire, working primarily in acrylic. Her abstract landscapes are built from expressive texture, layered colour, and instinctive marks — paintings that begin as emotional release and resolve into something quieter: a meditation on calm, connection, and making without rules. Her work is both introspective and optimistic, drawing on the psychology of self-expression and the rhythms of the natural world.
